Rosalind Best appointed Bishop Routhier School Principal

Northland School Division (NSD) is excited to announce the appointment of Rosalind Best as the new Principal of Bishop Routhier School, effective 2024-2025 school year. Ms. Best has been a valued member of the Northland family since 2014 and previously held the position of Principal at Hillview School for three years.

“I am thrilled to be named the Principal of Bishop Routhier School,” said Best. “I am eager to work with the students, staff, parents, guardians, and community members. Our joint efforts will significantly contribute to the success of our students both now and in the future. Additionally, I want to personally express my gratitude to the students, parents, guardians, and community members of Hillview School for their dedication and support. It was such a pleasure working with all of you in the East Prairie Métis Settlement.” 

Rosalind brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She has served as a literacy lead and land-based learning coordinator within Northland, demonstrating her commitment to innovative educational approaches.

Ms. Best earned a Bachelor of Education from Acadia University and a Bachelor of Applied Arts from Mount Saint Vincent University. She is also a graduate of Northland School Division's Aspiring Leaders Program, which prepares talented educators for future leadership roles.
